Sec2s - Ex Arrow Scouts will be involved. What Xiu Qi and I need now will be supportive individuals, because it is an awesome novel idea. Last competition we entered as defending champions and did not make it top 3, that was two years ago. The next competition may be held during the end of this year, and if that's the case, we're here to lend and show support! Interested people please talk to me or Xiu Qi.

As for the date, we are hopefully wanting to do the prototype this June holidays, during 3rd or 4th week. Okay, we're VERY VERY enthu about this, so all we need now is support! (:

I screwed up 2009 big time. I've lost almost everything, and everything is constantly giving me this huge mental block that I can't face.

Okay, I'll stay positive. I've got half a year ahead of me. I have great friends I know I can trust, I have time to study to make up for my academics, and, well, the stuff I'm emoing about can't be made up for.

Since the guys are more or less playing Pokemon anyway, let's have this Pokemon expert's opinions. You might be surprised at my choices of stuff, assuming you understand.

What will be my ideal Team of 6 be?

Well, I'd mostly choose Pokemon that I think are cute, Psychic type, Ice type, or are quite strong. I prefer Double Battles, because strategies can be well crafted around 2 opponents. If you seen me on GTS or BattleRev, *innocentwhistle*, then...

Yay Nostalgia!!! I remember a time many years ago when I used to play and now the guys in class are also playing. I remember, just like Runescape, Neopets and other stuff that I had a peakpoint interest in I would go encyclopaedic... I know how to form the best teams, I know my team isn't the best but I like it that way, I know how to calculate stats and whatnot, I feel like a walking Pokemon encyclopaedia, and I still remember! If you really want to know the best way to see if a person is addicted or not, ask him/her to list down the 64 berries. Can do it (thankyouthankyou) means pro. Yay me.

Okay back to other normal ramblings. Today we received our report cards. Heartbreak, heartbreak. Math missed by 0.2 to A1, Physics missed by 0.3 to A1. Slight improvement in Chinese, but I will definitely do better, we all screwed up LA big time (well, actually, no.. It's just that someone went up to Mr Ng and asked him 'Can you explain my essay to me?'). Okay I shall stop talking about it. Will promise to work harder, especially since I knew my Chem mark should be way higher.

Went for Match Support the past few days. Yay GO VJ!!! *does wacky cheerdance* Our sports teams have really done us proud, and while I'm not a person who is totally against sports, I feel that I can't join a sports CCa because I'm scared I can't make it for trainings all that. I know Michelle's thinks I can be a Crosser, and I want to join ODAC (wait... not a sport), but I've got to make a choice. (Or you know, join something like Horticulture...kidding! I'm not a plants person!)

My piano style is changing. I'm starting to prefer chinese music. I don't know why but I can't seem to like Classical Music, I think modern music suits me better. And speaking of music, this has been a 'great' week. Kris took American Idol, I'm sorry BUT I AM A Danny supporter. I really thought he can at least make it to final 2. Sian. Adam Lambert looks like a gay (no offence!) Look at the way he dresses. Eyeliner? *shivers* Kris is okay. He can be a male Taylor Swift, talented, countrylike, versatile, great voice. Guess he deserves it. Green Day's new album 21st Century Breakdown is NOT BAD AT ALL, my favourite songs would be their lead single Know Your Enemy, Before the Lobotomy and The Static Age. I mean, I like the type of music with quick beats, so Rock isn't my type, but this is quite decent. Linkin Park is back, new single from Transformers 2 OST, New Divide, go listen to it. It's worth it. Linkin Park doesn't disappoint too. And then the screwed up part of Pop, since when is Sean Kingston good? Think about that one. Eminem's Relapse also was weird. He's been using a fake accent for some songs, especially 3am. I'm not saying he's entirely bad, but, he's not that great, I guess. But the background music for some is okay.

Maths Project officially completed. This weekend will be burnt helping out in IP1's Parent Teacher Meet, Chinese Project and Geog Option. Geog Option EVERY WEEK got some form of homework. Tiring, and almost-but-not-too-completely manageable.

I want Thaipan. I've been craving Butter Squid since the Cat Incident.

I realised that suddenly, there are FULL LENGTH mirrors situated at many locations around VJ. Everywhere I go (except third floor), confirm got full length mirror. Concourse, outside toilet, S&T, PT, outside hall, like some fashion parade going on or something. I'm not against having mirrors everywhere in school, I mean, it's great to let students reflect (literally!) and look at their hair, comb it, or whatever you do to your hair. But I'm just being curious. Why so many mirrors stuck onto walls everywhere?

June holidays no good movies, well, unless you consider the Comedy 'Night in the Musuem 2' as one. It would be great for comic and stress relief, and I probably won't mind watching it. But then besides that there's nothing much. I'm not really into horror movies. Inf act, I will probably spend my June holidays mugging and mugging and mugging. It's what your holidays are for (: And since our overseas trip to Dubai in T3W1 is cancelled (screw you Swine flu), we got one more week of lesson.

Okay then. My report card came out, there were improvements, and I will do better in CA2. I will promise to never ever screw up Chem again.

Currently doing Reflection on Math Project. My group decided to do a Scrapbook on Trigonometry, a Website on Differentiation and a GC Picture. I just (just) completed the website for Differentiation, but I really think it cannot compare to my Chem Website so I don't want to put the link up here.

The Reflection is NOT EASY.

1. Evaluate what you have done

2. How your team can work better together

3. How we can improve project

4. How we can extend our task

It is good to have faith in my team members. It is also very VERY good (sorry I have to console myself) to have faith in my group members who are not actively participating in the project as I strongly believe they are contributing to the project in heart and spirit.

Okay fine. I must stop deluding myself.

Anyway, Math project was a fun experience lar. Didn't know the teachers were so creative. I think Bernice's scrapbook of Trigo is awesome, nice decorations. I realised that I base my work a lot on aesthetic appeal. Maybe it's because I think that it is important to have a good first impression. I actually also read up (a bit) on the brief history of Calculus. It was a thoroughly boring experience. I think Math is best left to be done, not to be read up on.

Today we went to support VJC at Choa Chu Kang Sports Complex - A Division Floorball Girls and Boys Final, both against MJC. The girls lost but the boys won. Match support was fun (:

I think that there is no necessity for some things to be taught, such as today's Civics lesson.

I think that, as a 15-16 year old, we all should hvae a good idea of who we are and what we want.

This means that we must have already reached the point in our lives where we are able to reflect, tell right from wrong, and do what we think/know is right. You know your own values and you won't let others influence you. And most importantly, your values are able to guide you, so much so that, you will know what to do when the time comes.

I'm not saying that such lessons are not compulsory, I just don't think they are very important in our lives, because ultimately, we should be able to tell what's right and what's not.

Just like I don't want to go back to VS and see my ex-classmates (not that I'm close to them) becoming gangsters and smoking and stupid things. That's immature. That's doing something for the sake of following others.

I feel lucky, somehow.

2.4 Run was a fluke. 10.52 sec. B. Like how can score A?

Kai Yi freaking beat me by 2-3 seconds because he sprinted AT THE LAST CONE. That was like, hey, here's one guy who's not consistent at all and suddenly he sprints past you just to make me feel bad. Oh well. Actually I don't mind people running faster than me, its just the look on his face after the run that pissed me off.

More results released. My Chinese BEAT my LA. I got like, 60.7 for Chinese, and 58.5 for LA. LA is guaranteed to be my ONLY disappointment, being my only score below 60. I got A1 for Chemistry, and Ms Ng doens't want to show us our Physics overall grade, but its safe to assume I can at least manage a A1 A2 pass. Actually my Physics won't turn out so bad, as long as I get 7/10 for Project I can manage A2 or even A1.

I'm beginning to feel a little more colourful and expressive lately. Because Spring and Summer is back on the calendar, so you'll see me using colours such as teal, spring, azure, orange, cyan, vermillion, what not. Yay Spring/Summer 2009!

Some serious camwhoring in class. Hooray!

Today I went to watch Angels and Demons. I realised that (NO SPOILERS LAH DON'T WORRY) if I would have done LA SIP on Science if this movie was shown a few months ago. Anyway it was quite decent, it's mostly based on generating suspense and random laughter from the audience, but I'd highly recommend you watching if

1) You want to see a real life example of our LA topic on Science and Controversies.

2) You enjoy suspense and thrilling moments

3) You have nothing better to do, which shouldn't be the case since we have a lot of projects at the moment (argh!)

On a side note, this has been another week that is filled with excitement (sorry, cannot find a better word) from overdose of tests and assignments. Math test on Differentiation and Integration today.

"Congratulations, You have just screwed yet another Math test! Please, do give yourself a pat on your back!"

Actually I didn't really mess up that badly. I just couldn't do Question 2A. It's good to be confident, okay? I need to score higher because my CA1 for Math was quite hilarious. I saw the mark and I tore the paper while signing on the marksheet.

Aha! CA1!

Math: 69.9

Biology: 65.7

Chemistry: 71 (Whoa damn happy! I thought I was going to get C5 or B4 because I got 24 for Review Test, but my website pulled everything up! That's like, the first time I slept after 3 for 5 days in a row...)

CI Quiz today. Damn funny. Pair work became open group discussion. Anyway our discussions led us to wrong and very off track answers, but I guess CI I did learn some stuff, especially since I encourage all of you not to pon Tuesday's lesson because it involved citations and crediting, which is important in all our projects! And I realised that hey-I'm very honest with feedback okay. They asked, what do you think can be improved in this course. I wrote a 9 lines comment and was very detailed and specific, hoping that they will actually read it (with all the emphasis on surveys and statistics). And because I did learn stuff from the course, I really don't think it was too bad.

You know what happened next Monday? Because I don't. And it doesn't change anything. I can't.

Today was another normal day. Here is a simple breakdown of what I learnt, liked and not liked today.

I learnt that it is not good (but well who cares) to rush homework on the day it is due.

I did not like how we were not given a full day. Mas Selamat got captured leh!

I learnt that my Physics teacher actually realised she gave homework about stuff she did not teach. Maybe, just maybe, it won't happen again... (AVESTER STOP DREAMING!!!)

I heard the EM Spectrum Song for the 4th (or 5th) time and still liked it... (well, sort of)

I learnt that after missing LA for 3 weeks, I have not forgotten much. (Thank you open house!)

I learnt that people think me being organised is a character flaw.

I like the way I am organised, thank you. XD

I learnt that playing word games too much can cause mental weariness.

I liked X Men Origins: Wolverine, although I found some parts exaggerated.

Oh well, just another normal day. Now to start Math Project...

In other news, Avester is playing word games and scoring absurdly high scores for them! There's Groword on Viwawa and Scramble on Facebook, yeah, plenty of word-filled entertainment. Haha, brings me memories of Sec 2 when I was training for Scrabble Competition. Word Games are fun to train your mind when you are bored. (I feel like a promoter of politically correct statements)

Actually I play them because I know I can pwn. HAHA XD.
