Avester's Column 24

Today we had an exhilarating geography period.

Ms Raksha threatened to inform our parents of the nitty gritty stuff we do in class that day.

We all know she's kidding. (or is she???) But then again, it will be a terrible idea.

Look at the list on top. I shall now take some time to make a brief explanation on that.

1. Echo. Eugene Lum making lots of noise and people echoing every word he says.

2. 1 Min of Peace. When you want 1 Min of Peace, you simply get replied by someone shouting "One Minute Of Peace!"

3. Teacher's Dressing. Eugene Foo sounds like an old grandmother asking Ms. Raksha about how she dresses. Really, really lame.

4 & 5. If you were shown a picture of a beach with a background telling you that it is Sentosa, and the teacher asks where is this place, what is your reply?

6. Then when we go to Land Rec. and boundary crossing, why o' why is Bryan suggesting an invasion? 2B has gone mad!

7. And I assume you want to talk to the president?

Anyway, it was a crazy week, so many periods un-perioded. Quite slackish, in my opinion. Nothing intersting.

I guess I should go back to my work. Finishing the 13 icons. 8 left.

Oh yes, one more thing. YUN HAN, SENTOSA IS NOT YOUR HOUSE!!!

Avester's Column 22

I'm kinda well-known for multi-tasking.

As I type this, I'm on my Maths Homework, and contemplating on the PE-Theory w0rksheet that so many people cannot finish.

Think I'll have to resort to copying the answers right out of someone else's worksheet.

You know, the good think about opening the class before Morning Assembly starts is because we get to put our bags down, chit-chat, gossip...But more importantly, to do some homework catching up.

We catch people to make them hand up their worksheet to us for a brief comparison with our own. Then we fill in whatever that we don't have but he has, which is usually the entire worksheet. That bad...we put off what we could have done today for tommorrow. A very good example is the first day of the new term, where you get to witness the very rare chance of clusters of people flurrying around, 'transfering' data.

They may not be faster than the photocopy machine, but they are fast anyway.

20 Minutes. To patch up. Lol.

And I believe almost every one is guilty of it.

But wait, if I decide to wait till tommorrow to copy homework and everyone has the same thought, then who are we gonna copy from???

Avester's Column 21

Ever thought about that handy pair of hands that have helped you do whatever 'xie gang' for 14 years? Ever wanted to appreciate them?

Well, I gave my pair of hands a little scan and there they are. A nice pic. PRODUCT OF AVESTER: A BORED GUY.

Yes, this has been quite a weird holiday. Lousy job week, end of my Runescape Subscription, my weekend couch potato marathon. I forked out some time to write this post.

I made a simple promise to myself that for the next 4 weeks, no Runescape. As I await my subscription to renew, I lie on the couch, pick up the remote and flip channels. From cartoons to chinese drama, from action violence to comedy, every hour every minute I stare.

That was really crazy, seriously. I spent like 8 hours on the TV for no reason yesterday. What a real couch potato. I think I need to get my eyes checked.

And my two hands were there for me in the holidays. Collecting money, buying food, pressing lift buttons, eating fries, helping me clean out shit from keyboards...

Well, think about it. Appreciate your two hands, for they have been helping you since 14 years ago, and many more years to come.

Since I'm more of a couch potato now, I didn't realise how good the TV was. Until yesterday. It was so fun. Drinking coke, eating fries, lazing on the couch, TV...! Ah, life is good.

Time to thank my two good hands...

TV ROCKS!!!

Time to get over my serious addiction to Runescape for a while and be a couch potato as I review all my favourite cartoons. Ah, cartoons. I never spend too much time on them.

Well, I guess now is a start.

Job Week Review 4

I felt so terribly bad today. It was my worse job week.

Went on solo today. So bored. Bored to death.

Wasted one morning getting to Jurong East Sports Hall cheering my friends on for the Chess Tournament. Then went fooling around Clementi, Tiong Bahru, then I'm back to the NEL.

Like I said from the previous post, I didn't quite like the NEL much.

I went back there anyway. Did a simple coverage of Kovan and Hougang. Got a freaking zero dollars total there! Was k-s'ed like xiao!

Went all the way to Bedok. Once again, via MRT. Its probably the last I see of the NEL, but well, I won't miss it much.

The NEL.
The Purplish NEL.
The No-toilet NEL.
The very NEL that made me hold my pee for 9 hours.

Yeah, I won't miss it much, blame it on the $35 I made today. Lol. Ah well. At least the NEL did a great deal for me the past few days.

Anyway, I went to Bedok, took Bus 14, took bus 13 at East Coast, walked through Terrace Houses, kena caught in rain, tired out my legs...

A fun day, really.

This year job week was terrible, I must say. Luckily I brought my camera. Took shots of places we went, people I know (including very unwilling people: Ziyad, Andre, Herman, Ivan etc). Great NEL and keyboard cleaning experiences.

Overall, it was quite good!

I'LL GET YOU NEL!!!!! I'LL MAKE SURE ONE DAY YOU WILL HAVE TOILETS IN THERE!!!

Job Week Review 3

Ba'ik siah today!

Ivan and I officially became friends of the MRT! We rode on the MRT like for half a day!

Punggol was not as good as we intentionally planned, and the LRT, which apparently are still toiletless, kept us waiting. The Sengkang LRT was also not good, and that area was completely k-s'ed. So we went on to Hougang and had lunch there. Then we tried the area, no luck! Taking the Northeast line further southwest, we went to Boon Keng. More MacDonalds there, and we got zero dollars! So much for my MRT fare!

I got tired of the Northeast Line and we proceeded to go to Kallang, where we initially earned much on Saturday.

I was right. Much profits were made there. At least my bus fare was not wasted.

My face was turning as purple as the Northeast Line, the LRT stations and $2 bills.

Arrrgh! Should not have written this in purple. Anyways, my job week is coming to a close. Not much was accomplished this year, but never mind. I guess I have to really work hard next year. But then again, I did learn quite a lot I didn't know about! Empty MRT stations, unopened LRT stations, LRT stations got no toilet, kena lost in Hougang, ate too much MacDonalds, couldn't find a toilet for NINE hours...

The last remark was nuts but true!!! My pee is calling me...

SBS TRANSIT!!! I WANT MY LRT TOILETS...I'LL GET YOU!!!!!!!

Job Week Review 2

Before I start lamenting on this day, let me chuck out some random facts I learned.

LRT stations got no toilet*If you feel bored in an MRT, sleep*Security gurads guard security*Do not EVER take a job that tells you to clean a keyboard*Work near a place with a toilet and ma'ma shop*If in doubt, scream for Avester*Never eat potato chips if your day was terrible*Do NOT sneak in to condos, simply jump over the back door*Tresspassing IS NOT illegal, they only want you to think it is*You can beg for a job, but you can't beg for money-WHY?*

I learnt today that if you are going to do a job or collect some cash, do it near some toilets.

I had to hold my pee for SEVEN hours since LRT stations have no toilet! That really put me in a bad mood.

Have you ever dug out all the keys in your keyboard, cleaned the interior, then put the keys back in their correct order?

Please never do that! Especially since I found dead spiders, noodle strands, rotten brownish stuff, spiderwebs, and all sorts of horrendous items inside. It really was terrible! I had to clean it as a job-why didn't the owner just buy a new keyboard?

Life is sometimes so difficult!

Got 30 cents lower than yesterday. Not performing well enough, tommorow must pump. Sigh, will never make my $500 target like that.

Must work so very hard, or else, well, I dunno...

Anyway, my fingers are sore from prying out keyboards and mowing lawns. Must rest. Tommorrow 3rd day. Gotta work harder. Must...reach...target...ttt...zzz...zzz

Job Week Review 1

What do you get when you combine a very naughty hamster and some boy scouts attempting to clean his cage?

You get shit. The hamster pooped.

Today was the worst job week ever, I hit an all-time low of $108.40, and we got k-s'ed a lot by other schools, and I thrashed so many poeple. But so many thrashed me! Why Wee Loong, work half day and you earn $80 more than me!!!

Why? WHY??? Life is unfair!

Two dollars, three dollars, five dollars for some very generous contributuions were quite good, considering that we went to a place that was -s'ed, then headed off to an ulu ulu area. Not bad, I would say.

Never mind, even though I was slacking in my clean the hamster cage job, I realised one very important thing.

HAMSTERS ARE SO CUTTTTTE!

Dexter the Hamster was so nice and cute and so cuddly and freaking active! I was lucky enough he pooped on Ivan, not me.

Anyway, today's earnings were not good. Really not good. Must work harder tommorrow. Work like xiao!

Then again, I'm xiao enough already!

I met Bob the Jagex cat. Then I started talking to him. He told me loads and loads of useless 'wisdom'. Really comical. Here are the pics. Seriously...I talked to him like about 20 over times.

The second piece of wisdom in the picture is by far, the most interesting one. Z-A-R are the first three letters of the word Zaros, the evil god, ruler of the Mahjarrat and Freneskae, but was 'killed' by Zamorak. Could Bob be Zaros in disguise?

Avester's Column 20

Its another new month. Which means more homework to do, more projects to complete and more RuneScape to play.

Play play play. All I know is to play Runescape. Yes.Though I am repeatedly told that computer is bad for my health, I think otherwise.

Wise men think otherwise.

This holidays is gonna be a blast, cos' I'm not just gonna be playing like no one's buisness, because it is no one's buisness, and yes, it is another round of job week.

JOB WEEK! Another round to show my talent and test my luck. I got real lucky last year, this year, well, I hope I'm lucky.

After the holidays comes Term 2. The time where actual work comes. Where everything piles and piles and piles and PILES up on your head so high, you are the new tallest mountain in the world.

Mannnnn, am I so not waiting for that.

Anyway, I got m fingers crossed. It's going to be a long March, but then again, it should be exciting too.
