Happy Birthday Jacky! That makes two birthdays this week, hehe. Now wasn't that exciting?We went for Sunrice today. It was very good, (so good, I didn't get a feedback form, yay!) and way better than Home Ec at VS. We actually cooked decent food, LAKSA!!! for lunch. With Popiah (oversized) and Burburchacha. Not bad. They tasted okay (anyway we wouldn't complain...) and birthday boy got spammed with curry. And my eyes got overheated, they were on fire and tearing, and I wasn't even cutting the onions! Jacky cut the onions and survived without crying... well, he only teared AFTER cutting the onions. The chef was a nice guy. He even taught us how to fold napkins into different designs. And we ate the food like some high class restaurant guests. Haha. So cool. If only we took more pictures.
We also did fruit carving. We did some flower thingy with a chilli. Oh yes, holding the carving knife was not easy, you had to be delicate, or else your flower will end up... like chilli.

Avester's Column 80Okay, revel in the excitement. Take in the atmosphere. Do what you want (I didn't really mean that). Yes, yes. Thank you for all the nice sms-es and gifts.
I didn't do a proper post after my exams (the sunrise thing was really random...haha) so this can make up for it. Let's rewind all the way back to the campfire.
Ah yes. Arrow Campfire 2008. Masquerade. Masked people everywhere (the picture above!) It went smoothly, all that planning made us really tired. We were building the structure at 2.45am - 6am on the morning after Teacher's Day celebration! Which also meant that me staying up until 1am doing Teacher's Day stuff, waking up at 5.30am for Teacher's Day, and slept at (omygosh) 7.30am... 26 hours later. And since we were building structures and tying knots, we were more tired than YOU. Here are some of the silly things that happened on that day...
SMS at 2.45am to Jacky: Beng is making us do pioneering NOW (look at the time)
Reply: Haha I'm watching soccer.
Wil Beng at 7am, when we were done: Let's go to 7 floor to see the sunrise!
To Guo Qiang at 2.30am: Eh, shh... I'm going to close my eyes and slack for a while, you don't ... (then I noticed his eyes were already closed...)
How did our structure look like? Here are some pictures taken later that day. 
Yup. So cool. And the campfire that night went smoothly. In fact, I'm going to do a video and throwing all the pictures I took inside. *coming soon*
Which also means I'm not elaborating much on that yet. In the meantime, let's talk about my exams.
Wait. Better not. Later you'll all see me panic like mad (something surprising eh?) It was... OKAY. Not very good. Not too bad. But I did lose control of myself more than once during that period and I *DID* went crazy and did stupid stuff without thinking. So I'm not talking about that too.
Today! Yes, today! Very eventful. Well, thanks for all the gifts (especially Xiu Qi) and all the happy birthdays I received. In fact, at time of writing this (21/9/2008, 10.10pm), here are some statistics:

Oh yes, Friday! I dragged Jacky along with me to Games Convention Asia where we bored ourselves watching the latest games and stuff at Suntec. We not only saw games, but massage chairs and even AIA (wah that one, very desperate). Nintendo was trying to promote Wii in a big scale, and had Wii games all over. And then they were giving out prizes to passerbys for answering lame questions right.
Annoucer: Who can tell me what Cherry Credits is gets a free goodie bag! Anyone? Is Cheery Credits a fruit? Or a premium online cash payment method? Anyone?
I wasn't fast enough, but I think they need to do something about their questions. And someone tried to make me buy a Viwawa T-shirt for $30. Please lor. Jacky and I are going to do a Wahjong rally in october. I shall go mad playing Mahjong on Viwawa. I shall at least put up a fight for their hiscore table.
Friday...before that. Ms Ngerng's geog project. Measure stuff in drainwater. Including calcium level, oxygen level, pH, temperature, stuff like that. We were given Chemistry kits and instruction booklets...which resulted in us doing titrations. Whoo-ha. It actually went okay...AFTER a while. It was quite fun, but still...*titration*...

Okay, this one's a little short. (Make that very short)
Exams are over. Yay. Finally. Apart from spamming my PSP and Viwawa Mahjong and Neopets and whatnot, there are many other things I have to do. So, apart from blogging with my eyes half closed imagining tiles, flying arrows and huge nitro filled trucks, what am I going to be doing these few days?
PS: Have you seen the sunrise? (If you did standing on the 7th floor of VS-no it does not count!)

Well, I should give myself a break and not stress out too much, right? So today I decided to play a few rounds of mahjong on Viwawa. And this was my first round...
Haha it's my first time seeing 小三元. I don't know exactly how rare it is, but I think it's rare enough that it should be worth more tai. And the other guy stole my 发财 or else you would be seeing 大三元.But this is probably quite a nice stress reliever already (:

Well, so its exam time and everyone is probably studying like mad right now. So obviously we have to destress. And apparently my method of destress is a little weird. I call it 'counter-stress'. Tat is,to stress my mind on something else other than studies so that I can not feel so worked up when I see my notes and books everywhere. As to whether such a fantastic method works or not, I can say it does work for me (sometimes), but now I guess it'll be better to focus on my homework. Even though it's stressful, tiring and making me fall asleep.It's got to be better than spending more than an hour in front of my piano under the pretext of destressing myself learning a new song.
Xiu Qi told me that this song's irregular rhythm is confusing yet soothing. Well, he was definitely right. And since the o2jam version (which I have it) is level 53 for EX, NX and HX, it makes no sense to play it there. So, where else do we play Maksim's classical tune?
So much for destressing myself, eh? 6 pages worth of notes to sight read, super fun. And since I know the rhythm by heart, it makes it a little easier to figure out. But still, I really think I should be studying.
