This could very well be the most important post ever on this blog. Or rather, this post could determine all your reactions and make you realise that you should go do something more important NOW!

I would like to ask a question, in which I want all of you to look deep into your hearts and ask yourself and reflect.

Have you ever believed that you need a reason to do everything?

Have you ever wanted to do something and you cannot convince yourself a reason to do so?

What if everyone, and everything around you, could very well influence you in such a way that they use it to their advantage?

There's something I really really really want. And I can't do it without your help. Call it a conspiracy, call it mischief, or call it a bad idea, I don't care. I believed that I could do something. I tried at the start of the year. If I really wanted something, and I know that if I get what I want everyone will be happy, why don't I have a reason to do so?

In a very anticlimatic way, IN OTHER NEWS, still remaining on the topic of doing something really badly, my LA essay is screwed.

After much delay, contemplation and even teacher-commentary, I finished my LA essay on Friday, only to realise (on time) that I misintepreted the question. So much for doing something really badly.

Let's see if I can calm down from a horrible last week and overcome all the guilt in my heart and start everything anew.

11.50pm. Trying to sleep before 12. I was supposedly doing research.

There, now all of you know a bit more about me. You would probably also wonder about the last few days of my life. Out of sheer boredom, I shall disclose such information to you.

Financial Lit, how to start a business? Well, that's what we all did for the last few days. it was long, quite boring, and to be honest, I probably don't need it in the future. the trainer tried to be nice to us. but the course itself was long, boring and very unentertaining. And my group didn't perform too well either. We played CashFlow on Monday and earlier today. It's a fun game that actually teaches us how money works in a very compressed version of business deals and stuff.

Yesterday, oh oh oh they installed a bread vending machine at my condo. It's so damn cool, and it's CHEAPER than buying it at NTUC or petrol stations. The next thing they should do is install a ChipsMore vending machine haha. But it's cool enough, since there is a LOT of variety of bread. That bread vending machine is now supplying my breakfast before I come to school, since I have the habit of not eating my breakfast too early. Yay fancy bread ftw!

I'm not Dominic (who, coincidentally, was acting pretty much like a retard yesterday the trainer had to ask me whether she should talk to Ms Ngerng about his attitude- one again I did not give the 'politically right' answer...). Anyway, in case you forgot, Avester scored 27/30 during the Archery test last year (3 arrows, 10 points each), so it could mean I'm a marksman (lol-not really since a lot of people could score 20+ in 3 arrows).

Oh and then when I went home on the bus I passes by this candy store that was selling strawberry coated choco- wait. That didn't come out right. Yes- CHOCOLATE COATED STRAWBERRIES. And I MISSED IT!!! I shall not forget it the next time. I love strawberries, and I love chocolate, so, it should be worth buying. Of course, I have this sweet tooth, so even the Mango Juice in the canteen which I'm surprised everyone claims is horrible is nice what. Why are all of you so critical?

Well, let me begin with an interesting comment: Arrow Scouts Sec 4s suck.

Wow, now that's strong language, and it was quoted from an anonymous junior.

I responded to him: It's only some of us.

He asked me: Why don't you see yourself as one of them?

I replied casually: What makes you think there's a need for people like them?

(Our hamster team has done their best.) Guys, remember a few years ago we thought that leaders like Adriel sucked and were pretty retarded because they were so un-understanding and stuck-up? Yeah, now some of you are acting just like that, and I want everyone to know. Coz' it shouldn't happen.

I mean, for me at least, there are 2 types of leaders. One that can lead, can do everything well, and can definitely pass it on to their juniors. Then there's another type that is able to communicate well, able to understand the juniors. I would, of course, want a leader that has a nice balance of both attributes. Like we know Adriel was an efficient leader, he just wasn't very sociable, and if it's coz' of that everyone thinks he sucks then, it's not how leadership works.

One of the people I admire most is Guang Jie. He's a great Adult Leader, and in my opinion, even though he's strict at times, Guang Jie is one of the friendliest, most sociable person (in a unique way) I know.

Let's take what happened today as an example. Ziyad' birthday-yes happy birthday Ziyad! - and our patrol decided to celebrate it at Swensens. And along came a bunch of Sec4s who wanted to crash (WHAT WERE THEY EVER GOOD FOR BESIDES CRASHING PARTIES?) and join us at Swensens. So we booked a table for 8, and out of the kindness of my heart I changed it to 14 to accomodate those jokers. And then, the fun began. All of them came late. (!) And they came demanding I pay their cab fare. What does Lee Wei An wanting me to foot $44 for a trip from Changi back home and THEN to T3 have to do with me? Wee Loong even better, came, and sat down on my bag. Luckily I got my camera out.

Of course I was friendly enough to actually let them join us. We could have been total meanies and made them queue (we took 40 minutes!). And then they started bridging and didn't order anything for 45 minutes.

Wah my patrol lose face leh. I guess it's only fair they know what their juniors think of them. "Who are those retards sitting there not ordering anything playing cards?"

Stevenson Patrol has the strongest, albeit the only existent, patrol bond amongst the 6 patrols. And we actually were kind enough to let 5 rowdy people (Cheng Kah Fong was feeling extra and actually came...) spoil it. And I feel bad, because Ivan, Hao Yang and I were planning it for Ziyad. We even went there 365 days ago, April 12 last year!

Wow, that got me remembering stuff. New Year's eve, whoa, classic example. They invited me out for a movie I watched already. They wanted me to go Vivo City on 31st December 2008 to watch Yes Man. Well, I would have gone, if not for 3 interesting problems:

1. I watched the movie already.
2. I was at Vivo City just a few days before that watching that movie with close friends.
3. If I went I had to pay $10 for a movie I watched already.

And they insisted I pay up. Lol.

The Sec4s this year are going to end up like Adriel and gang. I remember what Yong Yi did (or didn't do). Another nice Stevenson example.

Oh, and besides that we had fun. I'll upload the pictures another day. The boardwalk along Chek Jawa really made me realise THAT OUR GOVERNMENT HAS NOTHING BETTER TO DO besides building useless boardwalks. It was: first 10% Mangrove and Animals, next 90% Sea. Boring nothing sea, nothing to see. Then the 5 floor observation tower MADE SOUNDS when you climbed up the staircase. Like it was going to fall. The view was awesome though, and when we tried to take a photo, everyone complained too hot so cannot smile. (No link...) The Summer Cottage, the only place in Singapore with a working fireplace had very nice photo opportunities. We also went for the mountain biking trail on the west side of Pulau Ubin. It was very funny, coz' no one biked for the first 750m. Wil Beng was at the back shouting "Oi cycle lah!" and so were some of us but we eventually gave up. The slope was so steep, and the arbour was like, all over us, (uh itchy leaves), and so we dismounted and pushed most of the way on a mountain biking trail. We also went past a freakishly muddy area and I got my shoes all soaked in mud trying to make sure everyone was okay and had their bikes safely across the mudpile. Of course Bryan Yong decided to see if we could stand in mud. His shoes were thus muddier than mine.

One day of cycling and playing with mud gave me a serious tan leh. Tired lah, but now I look a few shades different lol.

And they destroyed my PLTC solo night spot. Construction works has mowed down an flattened it until, well, it's flat. And all the slopes were reduced. From four high speed slopes that are accident prone (of course not me) to 2 moderately steep slopes. So many changes. So difficult to handle.

Pulau Ubin cycling has given me so much (including a suntan I didn't really want). I wonder how I'm going to give it back...

Today we learnt from Mr Ng how VJC students walk. He suggested to us that there is a distinctive way VJC students walk, it being characterised by:

1. The Vacant Stare
-Students just blankly look forward without noticing much of surroundings.

2. The Lack of a Response
-Students hardly (or completely don't) respond when greeted by others walking past, even if they did acknowledge the other person's presence, it is a slow and staggered response.

3. The Slow Shuffle
-Students walk very slowly, and personal experiences tells me that it is because they are talking to friends or are emo.

Mr Ng's comments have led us to think why many other people don't walk like that. It also probably led us to think why we are walking like that.

And we obviously don't have an answer. Haha. XD

It's Back!!! (96)

Happy April Fools Day!

And yes, I'm finally back to updating my blog (NOT AN APRIL FOOLS JOKE!) As you know, March is the second busiest month of the year for me always, this year I had Scouts Investiture Night, Job Week, Chief Commissioner Award Hike, REVEIW TEST and quite a number of projects! Anyway, March is over, time flies faster than you know it, I've been sleeping later than most of you nowadays, emo-ed quite a bit, especially after review test results came out, but now I feel better (ONCE AGAIN, THAT WAS NOT AN APRIL FOOLS JOKE) and ready to conquer the world (or maybe just... okay never mind. There are better things to do besides conquering the world...)

In other completely random news, I'm going high on Strawberries. Yes, I got a whole supply in the fridge, enough to keep me awake! (Why do you think you see me online at 1.30am?) Of course, when I'm awake that late, it could be due to one of 3 reasons:

1. I can't sleep.
2. I got homework / projects.
3. What else is a computer for besides blogging, doing homework, emails and MSN?

Okay, you must be wondering about my RT results. I didn't fail anything, but not say they were very well done either. I shall strive to do better, although somehow I kept feeling that I make empty promises (until of course, I recently de-emo-ed and decided to work harder!)

Of course, VIP Open House is just round the corner! Mark that date on your calendar, fellow Sec2 Juniors: 25th April 2009 9am-1pm! And I'm doing LA Presentation like last year. Yay. I remember Ms Ong gave us free lunch (see, there IS such thing as free lunch). That meant that 4 teachers in my life gave me free lunches! Amazing, right? I wish Ms Ong was in VJ to watch the presentation this year.

This year's April Fools was an epic fail. Tried to swap classes with 09v14 and it went kind of bad, almost made the Chinese teacher angry. Watched Dark City, some weird sci-fi movie for LA today. Not bad lar. Just not funny or thrilling enough. Too many gross/retarded scenes.

Okay, April is another busy month for me (my busiest month in the year is ALWAYS November, by the way) , but don't worry! You will be getting updates from my blog, coz', well, it's my blog.
