Spent 7pm to 10pm, 11pm-12am on Sunday Night and 6pm-7.33pm on Monday night and I FINALLY managed to get 5000!!! I'm so pleased...it means I PWN!!! I'm a legendary gamer...lol (self-praise).

The Daily Dare is finally over! My feverish games mood is dying down...time to get my study mode on again...eh wait!!! I almost forgot!!! Tomorrow is...

Ah yes, it's Sunday. What a nice relaxing day when I can sit down, relax, study, read a book, exercise, slack,...

But the stupid thing is that I'm not doing any of the above.

I'm mugging. Games.

As the Daily dare is drawing nearer to a close, so is my March Gaming Frenzy. But my gaming skills WILL NOT BE DENIED!!!

So that explains why I'm sitting down in front of my computer mugging DestructoMatch 2. Not much luck. Can't hit anywhere close to 2400. My highest was 1857. That kinda...stinks...

*yawn*

Okay, time to get back to work. I shall not give up....

Oh great. I just remembered that I have a pile of homework due tomorrow. Now what???

Avester's Column 52

Good morning sir, welcome to the ARC. Today, we have for you a wide variety of entertaining recreational facilities. What would you like to sample?

Yes, Wil Beng wasn't here for meeting today. Thus the meeting was very VERY slack. In fact, our troop was offering fun, hip and recreational activities for ourselves to enjoy...seriously.

Let's see. Head over there and you can see Changda with a shuttlecock and racket, goading you to play a game or two of badminton. You can comandeer a bike from Xiuqi or Shu Liang and cycle around Victoria School, enjoying the hot afternoon with some breeze. You can watch or even join the game of basketball as you see how Wei An tries (and fails) to snatch the ball from the others, see how the Sec1s and 2s attempt a game of soccer, or just join Ziyad and Avester talking crap at the grass patch by the field.

Crap talk? Wow...my niche. Yours truly, who used to be JUST a person who can make GREAT (GREAT!!!!!!!) puns, has now discovered his awesome acronym making abilities! Check out this super amazing sample of my wonderful skills *cough*:

Oh hey...look at the time...guess we must skip that for now...

You can probably deduce that it was a slack meeting (or have I siad that already...???). If you cannot, then I'm feeling very very sorry for you. Anyway, let's change the subject.

In honour of Xiu Qi and Sean, Stevenson patrol will have an official patrol outing on Friday, 4th April. We are going to T3 for Swensen's! The unfortunate thing is, my wallet's gonna cry. We (yes, WE) are going to treat Xiu Qi and Sean, whom we are inclined in a propagandic manner to believe that they are fully competent to lead the patrol. (The Sean bit is agreeable, but Xiu Qi...??? Nah......) In fact, the outing was my idea and the Swensen's was Ziyad's idea. So, in a way, PL and APL of Stevenson '08 '09 did thier jobs. Except for the fact that our wallets ARE seriously gonna cry and bleed like some gushing waterfall...

We also talked about the Stevenson Video. Since the Sec4s are leaving us soon, this being their third last meeting, we'd figure we do a patrol video for the Sec4s in honour of SEAN and Xiuqi. So we took a few pics today and next week I'll bring my camera. Except that the pictures today were horribly screwed and Xiuqi had a hole in his pants in a very disgusting spot...

We tried to taupok our great PL Xiuqi and failed. Twice.

Yeah, and that's all for recreation. Now we just need to recreate the taupok scene...

Anyway, I know a lot of people have deep wishes to have such meetings every week, so lax and slack and unbenged. (Unbenged is not really a word...you go figure that out...) Once in a blue moon, eh? Guess we have to close our recreational club for some time...

VS Sports Day is 4th April, this coming Friday. I promised to do 3 important things on sports day:

1. Meet my old friends.
2. Cheer Whampoa House.
3. Take photos of Guo Qiang so that all the girls will go...'ooo so cuuuuuttttteeeee.....'

Well, that sort of wraps up everything I wanted to say. Now, I just need to get some pictures to add value to my post...WHERE'S XIUQI?????

Avester's Column 51

Someone doesn't want to start the taiti tournament.

Oh and on a not better note, here's a random spew of stuff that happened this week AFTER my emoing last post.

Wednesday:
Chinese Test. If you cannot predict that the results are terrible, you don't deserve to be here.
Physics. Zoned out COMPLETELY for the entire lesson. Went home to mug Physics and fell asleep doing so.
Oh and I got my games attitude back! Probably just because I need to look and be positive!!!

Thursday:
Chem. Got practical assinment. Must reasearch.
Piano lesson. Forgot to practice...as usual.
Carrot Experiment. Took Kaiyi's test results and used them to modify my own till my report was 70% Kaiyi 10% Dominic 10% Myself and 10% 'Creative' Art and Pictures. And I slept at 1+ because of that. Spent 6pm to 9pm doing experiments, 10pm-12am typing out the report and 12am - 1++++ playing neopets...literally mugging Stowaway Sting for 1 hour and yours truly has so imba skills he made it to high score table (89th) with his score of 1425. 3 Cheers please.

Friday.
Slept at 1.35am. But you know that already.
Studied LA SI2 enthusiastically for fun!!! This time, I studied LA coz I didn't understand the EA Powerpoint about some bibliography and stuff. So me and Jacky studied LA.
Went back to VS to get our yearbooks. And say 'hi' to a few people.
Furiously mugging for Scouts Compass test tomorrow.
And...typing this out now...

So basically it can be easily concluded that my week was fairly average, mugging, studies, sleeping ridiculously late (my bedtime is 10.30pm, mind you. And that's an average!), and creating silly banners like this one: [should the following picture make you feel uncomfortable, please inform Avester ASAP]

And to sum it all up, it's another not decent weekend...besides, this weekend I have to cheong my gaming skills the daily dare will end on 31st March, and hopefully my gaming frenzy for the whole of March will subside...

Oh and since we have some space (yes, we have A LOT of space...), let's talk some talk you never thought Avester could talk such talk.

We were bored, so I launched a discussion with one of my good friends. The subject was crap talk. (Well, that's the big idea when you are bored...right?)

Actually, me and Jacky went to Simei (eastpoint) to Grand Master a present. I had borke the zip on my wallet, and it's feeling quite sad and empty now. So we walked around talking crap and looking for a suitable gift.

Our first idea (OUR!!!!!!) crashed. We wanted to be uber random and get her a packet of 50 plastic forks. You know, the type you see at parties and barbeques and all those environmentally unfriendly gatherings? Yeah, those.

Two reasons against the purchase: 1. It's lame. 2. I'll get poked by the forks.

So, idea number two, we wanted to buy a jester hat. You know, it looks like a crown and would make a suitable present. But then Jacky said that it would end up being mine...just like the red cloth.

Idea scrapped. Number 3 was successful. The pig. It's a cushion that looks like a pig from top view and a dolphin from the bottom. I want a pic of it so I can post on my blog...

Avester's Column 50

I finally decide to talk more about stuff that is happening recently and not sidetrack and ramble on useless stuff you really have no interest in knowing (for example, the last few posts).

Recently, I feel very zoned out, very 'lost', very unbelonging. I look around and ask myself, what am I doing? why am I here? Yeah, you get the idea. I'm feeling very lost these few days, maybe because everything has been flying past in a whir...

I have that I dont belong sense in me...for some reason. I keep telling myself to cheer up, I tell myself to relax. I spend 2 hours whacking games that I'm pro at...and even then I feel lost. So many things have been happening, schoolwork is getting difficult, people are starting to HATE me, I'm like getting too wild in class...and yet when I go home, I want to talk to someone, but when I log onto MSN...I have nothing I want to say, nothing I want to do. Just talk to jacky about the Daily dare, console Guo Qiang with apologies, randomly ask people questions on homework...and that's just it.

I feel...out.

I really should record that down so for my T42 session, ah but what the heck...

Suddenly, I feel pressured. I feel...stressed. (Yes, admitting to something is the first step in rectifying the problem...but what can ANYONE do?) I feel stressed over homework, stressed in trying to 'fit in', yet be unique, stress even in playing games...the last point, I realised, is the worst. If I cannot get rid of my sudden stress, I think I'll get lost (in a figurative manner).

My timetable is cramped up. There's my Review Week in T3W1, which made me realise that if I don't talk LA everyday I'm doomed, if I don't read Chinese everyday I'm doomed, if I don't play games everyday my stress level will skyrocket...and yet my June Holidays are whacked...there's my most important commitment, PLTC. That 5 day camp will eat up time, so I will begin studying ASAP. Then there are many other minor commitments I have to take charge of...arrrrrrggggghhhhhhh!!!!!!!

My whole life is crashing down. On me.

I finally let that ALL OUT!!! Now I don't feel as stressed as 5 minutes before, but I still feel a tinge of stress in myself.

Make that a lot.

Why do people get along so well with each other??? Why does everyone see me as different??? Those two questions have been bugging me for a long time. Being unique is one thing, being together makes you feel secure, it let's you share your worries and worry for others (not that I'd want to, but...) I have had a bad time in Primary School, I sort of enjoyed myself in VS, with substantially a lot more reliable friends around the school, and now, I ask myself, what do I want in VJC?

So Ms Ngerng's Civics Lesson had forced me to think and reflect.

After coming back from the Pahang Camp, I've never done a proper relfection. I don't know why, I'm being random yet again, but I'll do it now! Seeing the village people and their state of lives make me realise that we are in a more privileged position than them, however, they take it in stride, and enjoy every bit of their lives, yet we worry and fret over many things in our daily lives, making it sound unfufilling and incomplete. Compared to those people, who are poor, uneducated and have large families to feed, we are educated, knowledgable and have proper food and daily neccesities, but we are unhappy with what we have. This is the most inspiring difference that I have noted, and a point that I must surely learn from.

Wen Jie, our guide, is also different. He reminds me of myself, yet he is able to do things competently, with proper planning, yet maintain his carefree, positive, 'naive' (in a good way) attitude. I have his attitude, but I don't have his competency. I messed up a lot of planning in the whole camp: the raft games was just a bad mistake...4 oars on one side and 2 on the other...spilling water from the mess tin and end up not cooking the food properly, a lot more, in fact.

I see myself as I don't fit, someone who cannot do practical work right, somewhere, throughout the course of the assigned work, something will go wrong, or I'll just not be able to understand things at all.

I even broke my wallet today...that's a bad sign.

Arrrrgggghhhh! Stress!!! It's killing me...

Okay, basically, this post should not have made much sense to you. We're suddenly moving into another part of my life, something that I don't want to ever bring up-to maintain that cheerful, positive, 'naive' (in a good way :P) attitude. I need to find a way to de-stress before all my bad memories come back...

I DON'T EVER WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT ANYMORE!!!!!

I feel so random and confused.

Oh well. Better go study for tests or read some LA or whatever. I think I've lost my gaming skills. All my scores are dropping and crashing in my face...I don't believe it.

Something is really wrong with me. And after the taiti tournament I will deal with it.

I'm struggling. Yay.

Okay, I cannot play DestructoMatch 2 for nuts. And Volcano Run 2's score is impeccably high. Kiko Match 2's score is unreasonably difficult. And Meepit Juice Break is...a killer...

I'm stuck on 4 of the Daily Dare!!! Argh!!!!

I shall thus beg for help. Serious help. I need tips on playing these games well...serious tips.

Not really, actually, you study LA.

SI is going to look majorly terrible...5 theorists...big trouble...(not really). I just mugged my LA notes for SI part 1, did a reasearch for all 5 theorists: George Herbert Mead, Erving Goffman, Sigmund Freud, Louis Pierre Althusser and Judith Williamson. I think I can cope, sort of. In fact, I think that I can pwn LA.

The reason (yes, there's always a reason...never it's your own fault...hahaha) to why I messed up LA 1: S4M was because I wasn't interested. (I really should put some effort into these pathetic reasons btw...lol)

I have to double my effort and not waste time on trivial matters anymore...woooo!!! 08V14 taiti tournament!!!!! *must join*

Avester's Column 49

This post is dedicated to ESP!!!

ESP, first discovered and introduced in VS, is actually becoming helpful in my life! I have been applying the concepts of ESP for quite some time and realised its unique usefulness. I'm sure all of you will aptly agree with me on that subject.

Wait...I'm assuming you know what the abbreviation ESP stands for...right?

Okay! Great! Let's continue. I have been using ESP since Monday, and realised that it helps a lot-for my Literature Test! Not that I felt depressed on Tuesday, but I've deicded to rework my ESP 'magics' and work hard on Tuesday night and restudy the whole of LA 1-Struggle For Meaning. Finally being able to completely grasp the theories of LA, my ESP moved on to Biology on Wednesday Night and continued Thursday Afternoon and now both Cell Structure and Transport Across Membranes have been whacked.

I feel so good. Now I know why VS initiated ESP. Especially since it branched off to ESPN last year.

To clarify matters: ESP stands for Enhanced Study Programme. ESPN is the Enhanced Study Programme (Night Edition).

Yeah, I've been making, whacking, pumping, driving and squeezing out my own notes for each of the subjects: LA, Bio, Chem and Lit. The other subjects already are crammed with notes (that are actually readable by my standards) or I'm too lazy to be bothered with the construction of such notes and instead while my time away typing out this post on my blog.

Making my own notes does actually help, a lot. I finally understood everything I'm supposed to not get it (except Chemistry and Literature, of course) at the end of the previous term!

Haha. It's time I owned.

Time to get my gameface on.

It's not just the Daily Dare anymore.

It's going to be better than that...!!!
